Turkish merchant bar exporters struggle to maintain prices
After a long period of market stagnation, Turkish merchant bar producers finally saw movement in export destinations last week. This was especially the case in the second half of the week, although activity remains far below satisfactory levels.
Although there has been an increase in inquiries, Turkish merchant bar producers failed to convert these price inquiries into deals. Last week’s bookings were mostly long-standing agreements being finalised.
