Turkish pipe prices continue drop despite costlier production
Turkish pipe producers are seen to have decreased their offers further despite the rise in their production costs due to the 50% and 50.8% hikes in electricity and natural gas prices respectively from 1 September.
Pipemakers’ offers for electric resistance welded (ERW) pipe made from S235-grade hot rolled coil were seen on Thursday mostly at $640-660/tonne fob Turkey theoretical weight. Higher and lower prices are however also available from some producers.
