Turkish pipe quotes decline further on weak demand
Turkish pipe producers have continued to decrease their export quotes to attract buyers, albeit limited, in the global market.
Pipemakers’ offers for electric resistance welded (ERW) pipe made from S235-grade hot rolled coil were seen on Thursday mostly at $705-725/tonne fob Turkey theoretical weight. Amid weak demand and tough competition, some producers are seen offering discounts even over the low end of this range.
