Turkish purchases lift German scrap prices after falls
German scrap prices have increased in mid-February for the first time since the beginning of the year and after falling in January, according to German scrap market participants. Most sources say the market is ramping up momentum and could even overheat.
Prices in southern Germany and in most other parts of the country increased by €20-50/tonne ($23-57/t) this month, a Bavarian buyer tells Kallanish.
