Turkish rebar sales in both the domestic and export markets rebounded somewhat last week. While the depreciation of the lira has accelerated rebar purchases in the domestic market, some mills are seen to have concluded rebar export sales to South America, Kallanish notes.
There was also a slight recovery in Turkey’s scrap purchases last week, though the extent of the rebound has left participants underwhelmed (see separate story).
