Scrap prices in Turkey are continuing to increase on fresh bookings.
Two imported scrap bookings were heard on Friday. A Marmara mill bought EU-origin HMS 1&2 80:20 at $414/tonne and bonus grade at $434/t cfr Turkey. A southern Turkish mill meanwhile bought a UK-origin cargo comprising 12,000 tonnes of HMS 1&2 80:20 at $410/t, 3,000t of shredded at $430/t and 1,000t of bonus grade at $430/t cfr.
