Turkish scrap prices remain mostly stable, prospects diverge
Scrap prices in Turkey are seen following a stable trend as despite there being demand from mills, there is also a sufficient number of offers in the market to meet this requirement.
European suppliers are seen offering HMS 1&2 80:20 at $455-462/tonne cfr Turkey, while US offers are at above $460/t cfr. However, mills are finding that prices of $460/t cfr and $455/t cfr respectively are achievable from some US and EU suppliers.
