Turkish scrap trading halts amid weak steel sales
Turkish mills’ demand for imported scrap continued to remain weak on Friday, Kallanish notes.
Following US-origin scrap purchases at $360/tonne cfr Turkey the previous weekend, no significant scrap sale was heard in the Turkish market last week. Only a western Turkish mill bought short-sea scrap at $331/t cfr from Romania on Wednesday.
