UAE's ESA hikes April rebar prices as expected
The United Arab Emirates' sole fully integrated mill and largest long steelmaker, Emirates Steel Arkan (ESA), has increased its April-rolling domestic BS 4449:2005 Grade B500B rebar quotes by AED 128.5/tonne ($35/t) on-March.
Offers are now at AED 2,669/t ($727) cpt Abu Dhabi, and AED 2,677/t ($729) cpt Dubai, Sharjah and Northern Emirates theoretical weight. The company charges AED 92/t ($25) and AED 73.5/t ($20) extra for 8mm and 18mm diameter…
