Ural Steel redirects gas emissions for heating, production

Zagorsk Pipe Plant (ZTZ)’s Ural Steel works has installed a new gas collector on coke oven battery No.1 to prevent the release of coke oven gas into the atmosphere, Kallanish notes. The 70-metre-long structure collects 100% of the gas, which is about 8.8 million m3 per year, and sends it to the capture shop.
