US mill shipments slip in September
US mills saw an 11.% dip in shipments on-year in September, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
Total shipments were 7.14 million short tons, down from 8.08m st in September 2021.
Shipments also slipped 7% from August to September.
Year-to-date through September, US mill shipped 68.46m st, down 3.1% from the equivalent nine-month period in 2021.
