US plate market remains solid
The US plate market remains solid, with spot prices increasing slightly this week to come in line with previously announced price increases.
Kallanish’s A36 plate price assessment moved up from $1,880-1,910/short ton, ex-works mill, last week to $1,910-1930/st this week.
With scrap prices peaking in April and softening prices expected for March, market sources are not anticipating any new price increases for plate in the near term.
