US plate market tracks Brandenburg, pricing holds
US plate pricing maintained its holding pattern from last week, which buy-side sources say could last into Q2 and beyond.
“Plate is stuck in neutral and (Nucor) Brandenburg is months away from full production,” one buyer says. “Plate prices in Europe have moved up, but the mills I talk to don’t see any price change for the next few months, but that could change.”
