US plate prices remain stable
Plate prices are stable due to a relatively quiet market, Kallanish learns from a buy-side source.
The cost of plate holds firm at $1,910-$1,930/short ton. All prices are ex-works, domestic mill.
“It’s busier than ever, and we are still seeing prices remain consistent week over week. Any orders placed this summer may see decreases like the ones issued by Nucor, but there’s been no impact yet,” the same source explains.
