US plate sales slow on-week, prices hold

US plate prices continue to hold at $1,460-1,490/short ton, Kallanish confirms.
In the equivalent week last year, plate prices ranged from $1,830-1,880/st. All prices are ex-works domestic mill.
“The business has slowed. Pricing remains the same for now. Nucor did roll their first plate [at Brandenburg], but won't be in full production until February or March,” says a distribution source.
