The American Iron and Steel Institute reports domestic steel production was 1.758 million short tons and the capacity utilisation rate was 80.5% for the week ended 18 June, as monitored by Kallanish.
The week ending 18 June, 2021, produced 1.844m st at 81% utilisation rate. The current week’s production is a 4.7% decrease from the same period in the previous year. The current week’s production levels represent a 1.5% decrease from last week.
