US raw steel production stumbles on week, year
US raw steel production fell both on-week and on-year in the week ended 18 February, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
Production reached 1.654 million short tons during the week with a capability utilisation of 74%, down 0.6% from the previous week, when utilisation was 74.4%, and down 5.8% from the equivalent week last year, when utilisation was 80.8%.
