US raw steel production ticks up on week
US raw steel production for the week of 12 November was 1.65 million short tons with a capability utilisation rate of 73.7%, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute weekly report. The figure represents a 10% decrease from 12 November, 2021, when production was 1.83m st and utilisation at 82.8%.
Raw steel production increased by 0.3% since last week, when production was 1.64m st and capability was 73.5%.
