US rebar market quietly enters new year
Participants in the US rebar market appear optimistic about the new year, but spot pricing remains weaker compared to pricing over the past summer and fall seasons.
A Northeastern US distributor affirms with Kallanish that rebar orders are hovering around $950/short ton.
"Activity has mostly quieted down for this winter, but construction work appears to look strong for next year," the distributor explains.
