US rebar outlook remains uncertain, prices rise
Domestic rebar prices in the US rose slightly this week, indicating uncertainty in the market after pricing dipped by $10/short ton in mid-July.
According to a Northeastern rebar distributor, rebar prices increased by $20/st from the prior week. He says that spot prices in the market have been volatile in recent weeks as buyers try to negotiate for lower pricing, but mills have kept steadfast in their pricing.
