US rebar prices remain stagnant
US rebar producers are opting not to push for higher base prices despite rising scrap costs, Kallanish hears from market sources.
Kallanish held its rebar assessment Tuesday at $590-610/short ton. All prices are ex-works, domestic mill.
Both sheet and plate producers have recently announced increases of $40/st, though only the sheet increase has so far resulted in transactional gains.
