US sheet prices cool despite hot market
Pricing for hot-rolled and cold-rolled coil sheets in the US continues to creep down from this spring’s rise, supply-side and distribution sources confirm with Kallanish.
In April and May, HRC prices ranged from $1,400-1,500/short ton. At the same time, CRC ranged from $1,840-1,890/st. Beginning last week, prices on both started to cool down. HRC averaged between $1,200-1,300/st and CRC could be found at $1,625-1,800/st.
