US sheet prices remain stable
Prices for US hot rolled and cold rolled coil sheets held steady this week, Kallanish reports.
Hot rolled coil ranges in a relatively wide band from $800-900/short ton, while cold rolled has an even wider gap at $1,100-1,300/st.
“Hot rolled coil - it is a wide range for sure. Tier 3 mills are doing stupid things with their pricing, and the low scrap prices account for the wide ranges,” a source explains.
