US sheet prices enjoy uptick

US hot rolled coil prices have increased to $710-720/short ton, up from $690-710/st, and cold rolled coil is now up to $950-990/st from $870-950/st, reports Kallanish.
“Order book is increasing and prices are too. It feels like people are seeing their pessimism slip away, as their Q4 was not bad, and business is starting the year in a good place. So things feel pretty decent right now,” explains a mill source.
