US sheet prices remain subdued following increase
This week, Nucor raised the price of hot rolled coil by $50/short ton, but sources confirm the news has not yet played a role in their actual transaction costs.
The price of hot rolled coil for the week is $800-900/short ton, while cold rolled coil is priced at $1,200-1,300/st. All prices are ex-works, domestic mill, Kallanish notes.
Last year, for the same week, HRC was listed at $1,850-1,870/st, while cold rolled coil was listed at $2,050-2,100/st.
