US Steel posts record results, foresees solid 2021
Flatrolled and tubular producer US Steel had a record year in 2021.
The Pittsburgh-based steelmaker swung to 2021 net earnings of $4.17 billion with sales of $20.3 billion. This was much improved from its 2020 net loss of $1.2 billion on sales of $9.7 billion. Shipments rose 31% on-year to 15.99 million short tons.
