US weekly production up on-week: AISI
US raw steel production for the week ended 16 September was 1.733 million short tons, with a capability utilisation rate of 76.2%, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute. The volume represents a 2.9% increase from the same period of 2022, when production was 1.684m st and utilisation was 76.4%.
Raw steel production increased by 0.7% from the prior week, when output was 1.721m st and utilisation was 75.7%.
