Vale deploys autonomous grab ship unloader at TRMT
Brazilian mining firm Vale has deployed an autonomous grab ship unloader in the Teluk Rubiah Maritime Terminal (TRMT) in Malaysia, marking a first for Vale globally, and the first-ever in Asia, Kallanish notes.
The solution is expected to move 85% of volumes at TRMT autonomously, providing stability, reducing costs in the long term, and improving efficiencies, the firm says.
