Vale secures natural gas supply for Maranhão unit
Brazilian miner Vale says it has signed a long-term contract with local gas companies Eneva and Companhia Maranhense de Gás (Gasmar) for the supply of natural gas to its São Luís plant, in Maranhão state, Kallanish learns from the miner.
The supply will start in 2024 and is expected to lower Vale's emissions during pellet production by almost 28%, the company explains.
