Vietnamese container scrap market rebounds
The Vietnamese scrap market appears to have bottomed, Kallanish understands. Bookings last Friday closed higher compared with those during the week through 27 May.
A southern Vietnam mill ordered a 2,000-tonne parcel of containerised HMS 1/2 80:20 from the US at $445/tonne cfr Caimep on 3 June, trading sources say. Another deal, for 1,000t of containerised US-origin 80:20, also concluded at $445/t cfr Caimep.
