Vietnam steel output jumps in 2021
According to the latest data from the Vietnam Steel Association (VSA), Vietnam's steel industry saw a year-on-year increase in production and sales in 2021, despite the impact of Covid-19.
Kallanish learns from a VSA document that crude steel production in Vietnam is expected to have reached 23 million tonnes in 2021, up by 16% from 2020. Finished steel production and sales were 33mt and 29mt respectively, up by 19% and 16% year-on-year.
