Walsin Lihwa lifts stainless steel prices for February
Major Taiwanese stainless steelmaker Walsin Lihwa has lifted stainless steel wire rod prices for February, driven by cost pressure after nickel prices surged to over $20,000/tonne.
Domestic prices of 300 series stainless products have been increased by TWD 6,000/t ($216/t), while export prices rose by $200/t. Prices of 400 series stainless steel remain unchanged, Kallanish notes.
