Weak steel sales continue to pressure Turkish scrap prices
Turkish steel producers have kept their domestic scrap buying prices unchanged since last week despite the downward trend in import prices, Kallanish notes. This is mostly due to the depreciation of the lira as Turkish mills buy domestic scrap on a lira basis.
