Xinggang begins relocation project construction
China’s Xingtai Iron & Steel (Xinggang) this week held a ground-breaking ceremony for its CNY 13.2 billion ($1.86 billion) relocation and upgrade project in Wei County, Xingtai City in Hebei Province, Kallanish notes.
In November 2021, Xinggang revised and confirmed the final plan for the project. In May and August last year, it signed a contract with local government and received the environmental approval from the provincial authorities.
