Zaporizhstal deceases steel, pig iron output in January
Ukrainian flat steel producer Zaporizhstal, partially owned by Metinvest, decreased crude steel production in January, the company says.
It produced 89,900 tonnes of crude steel, down by 72.7% on-year, Kallanish notes. Pig iron output also decreased by 58.5% to 166,400t, while rolled steel production fell 74% to 73,000t.
In December, the plant reduced crude steel production by 78.3% on-year to just 70,800t and pig iron output fell 69.4% to 142,100t…
