AVZ upgrades Manono MRE amid ongoing disputes
Australia-listed AVZ Minerals says the mineral resource estimate (MRE) for the Manono lithium project in the Democratic Republic of the Congo increased by 47% to 842 million tonnes.
The measured, indicated and inferred mineral resource tonnage grades 1.61% lithium oxide (Li2O), using a cut-off grade of 0.5% Li2O. The JORC-complaint MRE covers the Roche Dure and Carriere de l’Este deposits and represents a 268m t upgrade, Kallanish reports.
