Turkey’s Cemtas increases domestic sales in Q1
Turkey’s Cemtas produced 46,190 tonnes of crude steel in the first quarter of 2021, up 9.57% on-year. Rolled products output was also up by 16.18% to 41,626t, Kallanish notes.
The company reported a 5.09% increase in Q1 sales, with domestic deliveries up by 17.15% to 28,562t. Exports, however, fell by 14.36% to 12,957t. The share of exports in overall sales appeared at 31.21%, down from 38.29% last year.
