BMW plans to invest €800 million ($863.97m) into its San Luis Potosí, Mexico, facility to support the 2025 roll-out of its NEUE KLASSE next-gen electric vehicles, Kallanish learns from a company statement.
About €500m of the investment will be devoted to building an on-site, high-voltage battery plant. The total investment will support a further 1,000 jobs at San Luis Potosí.
