Ganfeng joins a start-up to explore lithium in Africa
Chinese lithium giant Ganfeng Lithium is targeting new lithium pegmatite in Africa through a 50-50 joint venture with start-up Lithium Africa, Kallanish reports.
Lithium Africa owns over 2,500 square kilometres of exploration tenements across the Ivory Coast, Guinea, Mali and Zimbabwe. Announcing the strategic partnership on Monday, the company unveiled plans for a public listing over the next 18 months. A location, however, has not been disclosed.
