Russian miner Nornickel plans to decrease nickel production at its facilities in 2023, Kallanish notes. This is necessary due to the implementation of measures to reduce the impact of operational risks caused by an unfavourable geopolitical situation, the enterprise claims.
The company plans to produce 204,000-214,000 tonnes/year of nickel this year, down by 2-7% on-year. However, copper output may increase by 2% to 417,000-441,000 t/y in 2023.
