Baowu operates ore processing base at Majishan Port
Baowu Jingcheng (Zhoushan) Mining Technology Company, a joint venture between Baosteel Resources and Chongqing Iron & Steel, has begun to operate an ore blending base at Majishan port in Shengsi, Zhejiang.
The production base started construction in July last year, with a designed production capacity of 20 million tonnes/year, Kallanish notes. Imported iron ore will be directly mixed in a specific proportion at the port and then shipped to steel mills.
