Brazil’s July exports fell, imports grew on-month
Brazil saw steel exports decrease on-month in July. Import activity, meanwhile, rose sharply after relatively lower entries in the previous month, Kallanish notes.
According to local steelmakers’ association Instituto Aço Brasil (IAB)’s latest data, exports fell 7.6% on-month but were 17.6% higher on-year in July at 970,714 tonnes.
