CIS crude steel output increases in January
CIS crude steel production increased in January, according to the latest worldsteel data monitored by Kallanish. Regional output amounted to 7.2 million tonnes, up by 4% year-on-year.
In 2023, CIS crude steel production was more by 4.5% on-year to 88.1mt.
Russian production last month is estimated to have increased by 1.2% to 6.24mt. This follows 5.6% full-year 2023 growth.
