Russia’s car production increases in April, down on-month
Carmakers in Russia increased production in April amid the Ukraine war, Western sanctions and shortages of components.
Production was up 33% on-year to 26,600 vehicles, but was much less compared to the previous month, Kallanish notes from national statistical service Rosstat.
In March, Russian carmakers produced 32,500 vehicles, down 20% on-year (see Kallanish passim).
