Turkish pig iron imports grow, steel output drops
In the first nine months of the year, Turkish steelmakers imported almost the same amount of pig iron as they did in whole of 2021.
Since 2018, Turkey’s pig iron import volumes remained fairly consistent, albeit declining slightly up to 2020, and rebounding thereafter.
