Turkish flat steel market surges
Turkey’s domestic flat steel market continued to surge during the week to Thursday, market participants inform Kallanish.
Despite an anti-dumping investigation on hot rolled coil originating from China, Russia, India and Japan, Chinese suppliers were actively selling material last week to re-rollers and pipemakers. Traders reported more than 120,000 tonnes of sales done at slightly above $600/tonne cfr Turkey.
