Turkish HRC market remains downcast
Turkey’s hot rolled coil market remained on the downward spiral in the past week, as both demand and prices continued to suffer from lack of support.
Import orders are being cancelled when legally possible, amid extended maintenance deliberations for the summer months. Domestic prices have plunged $575/tonne in the last three months, from highs of around $1,325/t ex-works in late March, Kallanish observes.
