World pig iron output falls in 2022

Global pig iron output fell in almost every region in 2022, pushing the total down by 50 million tonnes, as the world's largest producer, China, cut production by just 7mt. The largest decline was registered in Ukraine: from 21.2mt in 2021 to just 6.4mt in 2022.
