Salzgitter, bp ally for German hydrogen infrastructure

A consortium of seven companies aims to establish border-crossing infrastructure for green hydrogen in Germany involving production, transport, storage and industrial offtake as of 2024. The project has been launched by bp, Salzgitter Flachstahl, chemicals company Evonik, grid operators Thyssengas, Nowega and OGE, and utility RWE.
