ACWA begins construction on Uzbekistan green H2 project
Saudi Arabia’s ACWA Power has broken ground on Uzbekistan’s first green hydrogen project, to be located in Chirchik, in the Tashkent region, Kallanish reports.
The project will be developed in two stages. Phase 1, estimated to cost $100 million, will launch a pilot production of 3,000 tonnes/year of green hydrogen. That production is committed under power purchase agreements (PPAs) with Uzbekistan state-owned chemical firm Uzkimyosanoat and the country…
